SYLLABIC VELOR STOP Kh BECAME ALPHABETIC FRICATIVE Xh Ch.

List of diminutives by language
The ancient Cypriot syllabic, symbolic Khi is designed as an X, superimposed by a Y, both within a single type space.  The Khi/Qui/Chi/Xhi, was the well named Khizein Khi-Zein, designed to represent the first logos, a fusion between elements represented as lines that make up a letter/symbol to represent in the case of Khi, the concept, or soundbite for the ontological meaning of life.
The original value in Ancient Greek for what is now Chi, Xi was an aspirated velar stop /kʰ/. Later iKoine Greek dialects it became a fricative ([x]/[ç])The Greek phoneme Chi/χῖuppercase Χ, lowercase χ, is still pronounced /k/ or /ki/ in English. Khi/Chi/Xhi, when romanized became ⟨ch⟩ in most systematic transliteration conventions, otherwise ⟨kh⟩ persisted in informal popular use. In Modern Greek, Khi is mostly in informal use, it is often also romanized as ⟨h⟩ or ⟨x⟩. In the system of Greek numerals, Khi has a value of 600, that helps us keep track of the original.

Chiasmus/Khiazein

Khi/Chi/Xhi, is the basis for the name literary chiastic structure and the name of chiasmus
Chiasmus derives from the Greek word khiasmos, a w ord that is khiazein, is marked with the letter khi or Chi.
One must think of the lines that make up a letter/symbol as concepts. Concept A and concept B linked together will represent a third concepts, this is called a khiastic structure. Khiazein are said to be lines symmetrically arranged as in a symbol or a pattern and they are commonly found in ancient scribbles, manuscripts and later literature such as the epic poetry of the Iliad and the Odyssey
Classicist Bruno Gentili describes this technique perfectly, as "the cyclical, circular, or 'ring' pattern (ring composition). In Plato's Timaeus, it is explained that the 'two' bands together form the single soul of the world, as when they crossed each other like the letter Χ.
Plato's analogy, along with several other examples of chi as a symbol occur in Thomas Browne's discourse The Garden of Cyrus (1658). Browne's discourse is a Neoplatonic and Neopythagorean vision of the interconnection of art and nature via the inter-related symbols, special for him was the symbolic number five and the quincunx pattern, along with the figure X and the lattice design. His fundamental quest, was to offer proof of the wisdom we perceive as God, and so he demonstrably produced evidence of intelligent design. His discourse includes earliest recorded usage of the words 'prototype' and 'archetype' in English.
Originally Khi, later Chi and Xi were used to abbreviate the name Christ, which was placed between the Alfa Omega. The X/, when fused within a single type space with the Greek letter Rho, is called the labarum and used to represent the actual person of Jesus Christ. The quintasential, Browns quincunx. Aphrodite.

The use of symbols for magical or cultic purposes has been widespread since at least the Neolithic era. A good example includes the yantra from Hindu tantra. A member of the Golden Dawn perfectly familiar with  the use of symbols says of the magical ART, combining the letters, like colors, each with their attributes creates a synthesis, build a telesmatic Image, a perceived Life Force. LIKE A sigil is a power symbol used often in 'magic.' The term has usually referred to a type of pictorial symbolic signature of a deva, a demon or other entity, an idea, a concept, etc. The Sigil serves a need, say for the tracing of a Current which could call into action a certain Elemental Force.  It was, is still used in the making of talismans. The sigil was like a signature or sign of an entity, often hidden from plain sight, thus occult.
The term Alpha and Omega comes from the phrase "I am Alpha and Omega" (Koiné Greek: "ἐγὼ τὸ Α καὶ τὸ Ω"). Alpha (Α) and omega (Ω) are the first and last letters, respectively, of the classical (Ionic) Greek alphabet. Thus, twice when the phrase "I am the alpha and  the omega" appears, it is further clarified with the additional phrase, "the beginning and the end" (Revelation 21:6, 22:13). The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet were used because the book of Revelation is in the New Testament, which was originally written in Greek. It was simpler when the 'spark of life' was represented as a back to back k, that looks like a Tree, or the assa/issi/, the SS combined to give us the infamous swastika.
This phrase, "I am Alpha and Omega" or the phoneme Khi/Chi is interpreted correctly by Christians to mean that Jesus, the Khi/Chi has existed for all eternity or that God is eternal, or is the symbol that captures the concept that Life is eternal. Many commentators and dictionaries ascribe the title "the alpha and the omega" to both God and to Christ.
Early symbols similar to the Khi/Chi Rho were the Staurogram (Christliche Symbolik (Menzel) I 193 2.jpg) and the IX monogram (Christliche Symbolik (Menzel) I 193 4.jpg).
The staurogram (⳨), also monogrammatic cross or tau-rho, is a ligature composed of a superposition of the letters tau (Τ) and rho (Ρ). A monogram is a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other graphemes to form one symbol. The Tau representing the Established, the fixed and the Rho representing the cyclical flow, a union of above and below, of heaven and earth united.
I believe that the alteration of the Khi to the Xhi created the confusion that limits  Etymology and Philology from going past Greek. The change could be due to their belief in the idea of the 5th element made up of the four, earth air fire and water, the new scientific approach. Or it could be due to the substitution by the Alphabet of the syllabic logos, when the symbol come letter K/Kaph was the original letter/phoneme representing the First Cause/Life Eternal. The Cypriot Khi expressed the Christ, as the spark of life, with a brilliant BACK TO BACK K, we have a unity both with heaven and on earth. The origin of the CHi Rho I posit was the Cypriot Khi symbol, which became the Christ placed in between the letter Alfa and Omega.
The A/Alph also replaced the K/Kaph, the earlier sigil representing the idea of the 'first  cause,' the  letter  Alfa of the Alph-BeT ( BT represents the House of god), Alfa became the first mover in the House of logos, it left no place for the House of god to be represented by K/Kaph the prototype, the unitary logos. the Cypriot Khi, designed in the image of the Tree of Life/Death the Khi-Dar/Cedar, the Khi-Dar means Tree.

Phoenecian had a velar plosive, kap̱ (Hebrew kaf, כ), and a uvular plosive, qôp̱ (Hebrew qof, ק).
When the Greeks adopted the Phoenecian alphabet, they originally took both letters  Kop and Kaf on. Greek now does not have a uvular Q, qop phoneme.
The Greeks spent a few centuries writing /ko/ and /ku/ as ϙο, ϙυ; this happened throughout Greece (Jeffery 1990:33). Gradually, though, Greeks realized that [ḵ] and [k] are the same phoneme, and could be written as the same letter.
While some Doric regions held on to koppa into the fifth century, it did not survive the switch to the Milesian alphabet.
Q now is only used in the transcription of inscriptions, not in linguistic discussion of dialects.

Kyprogenesis my research 'blog-spot' has been a life long loving exercise to uncover the origin and meaning of the phoneme Kh, and issi, later AissiA, the name of Bronze Age Cyprus for they both loomed so large in all the written languages. I started my serious search when I made a casual attempt to break down the Bronze age Cypriot syllabic, hoping to find the origin and meaning of Kypros/Cyprus. With Robert Graves my guiding LIGHT, I sensed from the beginning that I was being misled at the highest level. It was clear all along that Khi, like an appendix had been removed from its central pride of place and buried not lost. I couldn't understand just how they did it, so that subsequent generations would not see the WOOD FOR THE TREES.
Until that is, I realized the Khi was the prototype, of the first mover/logos/monad that defined reality.
This here is an attempt to bring what I know to be the 'Key' that will open a door closed for generations, since at least the introduction of the 500 B.C. Greek Alphabet.

FEELING FREE TO BABA*EL

APHRODITE, A*PR*DT,  is a pentagram a reincarnation of K*PR*SS, Kypriss, Cyprus. Notice the substitution of A for K and the SS for DT. The PR is common to both words and represents SpaceTime. The A has replaced the K, for the first cause and both the DT and the SS represent the a Union between complimentary/contradictory opposites. Thus we match Kypriss with Aphrodite.

CINYRA/KINYRA, K*NR, a tri-litoral, where K is the 'first spark of light' and the NR is the brilliant sky light. It Seems his Father and Mother when naming their son, wished for a gentle man, a 'bringer of light', to humanity. Legand and History tell us that they, Sandacos and Pharnace, parents of K*N*R succeeded in their venture, for the progeny of Kinyras lived a thousand years, from about 1500 to 500 B.C. till that is the 'Alfa,Xi, Omega replaced Khi. All this was made possible with a little help from the Middle Kingdom of Thebes I presume.

Check my blog on KNR, Ki-Nura, for it attempts to show how the K=Essence  NR=LIGHT combine to suggest the first cause as Light and the A*NR as the natural symbol of LIGHT, the Pomegranate.
The Sufi considers that NUR/light was created first, then all other beings and thoughts were created from it. Sufis developed this concept into detailed narratives of the way in which the world came into being from nūr.

Today the Nur movement in modern Turkey, that evolved from Sufi concepts, emphasizes inner understanding and self control.

Nūr (Arabicالنور‎) may refer to the "Light of God" or the "Muhammadan Light" in Islam. The word "nūr'" means "light" in Arabic and is common in many other languages, including Proto-Indo-European languages.

The word nūr comes from the same root as the Hebrew aor, the primal light described in the Book of Genesis that was created at the beginning.
The word nūr, or its derivatives, occurs forty-nine times in the Quran.
N*R is a reference to God, Muhammad, the Quran, the Book, the Torah, the moon and the faithful men and women.
Al-nur is often used in combination with zulumat (darkness) in terms that describe movement from darkness into light, and from ignorance into faith. THUS THE DAWN.
DAWN IS THE FIRST LIGHT, THE FIRST THOUGHT THE FIRST ACT, THE FIRST BREEZE, THE FIRST DUE, TEFNUT, ETC.
The word nūr is used in many basic referential meanings, a few below:
  1. The religion of Islam
  2. Faith
  3. God's commandments and moral laws in the Torah and the Gospels
  4. The light of day
  5. The guiding light that God will give to the faithful on the Day of Resurrection
  6. The commandments and injunctions of the Quran
  7. Justice following order
  8. The light of the moon, planets and stars.

ISSI/ASSA/AISSIA
ASHIMA/KI-SHIMA/KI-SMET. Again the A is substituting the K.
Ashima previously Kishima is a name surfacing in the beginning of the Iron age after the fall of Troy and the invasion of the Sea-Peoples.
Asima is one of several deities protecting the individual cities of Samaria who are mentioned specifically by name in 2 Kings 17:30 in the Hebrew Bible.
Asima appears as a West Semitic goddess of fate related to the Akkadian, not Sumerian, goddess Shimti ("fate"), it is said that She was a goddess that 'lent' her function of the holder of fate to other goddesses such as Ishtar and Dama-kina. Damkina, for example, was titled banat shimti, "creator of fate", "appointed lot".
Ashima is related to the same root as the Arabian qisma, Qi or Ki-Shima and the Turkish kismet, meaning, fate.
In Ugaritic text the name of a god/dess or a person or object was signified/determined by its function, a familiar system in many mythologies, languages.
Godfrey Rolles Driver correctly translates "šmt" as a charge, duty, the function of.
In Ugaritic Driver links 'smt' with the Akkadian "shimtu" which he translates as "appointed lot".

Asherah also appears in alternate verses with Elath to indicate that both names refer to the same goddess. Ashim-Yahu and Ashim-Beth-El are forms of her name and a variant of her name is also attested in the Hebrew temple in Elephantine in Egypt. The divine name or epithet Ashima-Yaho (haShema YHWH)  is attested in the papyri from the Yahweh temple of Elephantine in Egypt has been connected in both theme and structure with a title of Astarte which appears in the Ugaritic texts as Astarte Name-of-Baal (e.g.  Ashira is represented symbolically by statues made of wood by human beings (1K 14:15, 2K 16:3-4). Styalized Trees are described as being an Asherah or part of an Asherah include grapevinespomegranateswalnutsmyrtles, and willows (Danby:1933:90,176).
