On the other hand the 'k' at the end of the name Hayk could simply be a dinuminative ending which in Armenian is added to the end of a word to show or make something heart felt like HoKi, (my heart my soul) or used to make something smaller, cuter, etc.

By the Neo-Babylonian period at the latest (and possibly much earlier), Shamash and Aya were associated with a practice known as Hasadu, which is loosely translated as a "sacred marriage."
