ZEIMBEKiKO/SYMBIKAKO = A DANCE SIMULATING THE TREATENING COURTSHIP OF COCKS.

Courtship, or the process by which an individual selects and fights for his or her partner to reproduce with, is one of the most remarkable processes in the ecological world.
Old Rituals Still Kicking In. What it all comes down to is that we may have moved up the evolutionary ladder past our chicken cousins, but when it comes to one aspect of our sexuality, we haven't moved all that far. When they are fertile, the gals are still checking out the gene pool, and the guys are still trying to hold on to their turf by trying to look like the best bull in the barn.
Zeimekiko the dance some say takes its name from the Zeybeks, a militia living in the Aegean Region of the Ottoman Empire from late 17th to early 20th centuries. It was first seen at the end of the 17th century in cities such as Constantinople and Smyrni. However I posit that the Zeybeks coined their name from the root meaning that predates them.
Originally Zeibekiko was like a war dance, like two armed men facing one another, this we know to be a fact. It was only relatively late developed when it became an improvised dance for a single male brooding.

Some question whether Zeibekiko is Greek or Turkish, or if it is a dance that predates both, possibly one from another country or I would add another age possibly eon. Zeibekiko variously spelt is a dance performed by a tough men (never a woman) or two men who have some, aggregation, or a lot of anger and frustration to shake off, a man who wants to show his might, his control, his dominance and his determination to fight.

If one is looking for an origin one should not have to go further to prove that the Zembekiko dance must be based on the fact that SPRING HAS SPRUNG on the acre, the dawn chorus is tuning up and the garden of Eden is as hormonal as a disco. Cock birds are calling to proclaim their presence, claim a territory and attract a mate. Indeed the mating rituals in the shrubbery are as intense as the gyrations on a dance-hall floor, and often similar.

Birds are relatively sexless until the mating season. When the days lengthen, their hormones become active, their bodies pouring out testosterone and oestrogen. Like their human counterparts, male birds with high levels of testosterone are more aggressive towards the competition and thus more likely to acquire the high-quality territories that attract females.

Drama is part of avian courtship. Beak open, feathers fluffed and tail fanned, the cock blackbird darts at the hen, then bows. They take off into the canopy of a tree, flying slowly from branch to branch, where more exaggerated bowing takes place. Then it’s back to the ground, copulation when the female decides, and the pair is formed. Variations of these rituals are shared by all other land birds.

Zemberek is the main spring of a watch in Turkish.."The technical Turkish word Zemberek  refers to a helical coil spring. A hair trigger. The definition for the word SPRING is to move, or act suddenly and swiftly, is to rise, to leap, as by a sudden dart or thrust forward or outward, or being suddenly released from a coiled or constrained position. Synonyms for hop a verb is to jump on one leg.

So an attempt to find the etymology of the word which is obviously Proto-Indo European.
