ALASHIYA/ELISHAH
THIS IS THE SYMBOL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORD FOR CYPRUS
IN EGYPTIAN HIEROGLYPHICS IT REPRESENTS THE PHONEME, SOUND "SS" ITS A TRI-LITTERAL PROCEEDED BY A FEATHER, THE VOWEL 'AA' AND FOLLOWED BY THE VOWEL I, TWO FEATHERS.

CYPRUS IS ON RECORD AS THE ORIGINAL MANIFESTATION OF THE IDEA OF THE UNION BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE HEIROS-GAMOS.
A great place to start is with the meaning of Aša which though it cannot be precisely rendered by some but may be summarized as meaning the cyclical flow of life/death.
It is, first of all, a 'true statement'. This 'true statement', because it is true, corresponds to an objective, material reality. This reality embraces all of existence. Recognized in it is a great cosmic principle since all things scientifically observed happen according to it. This cosmic force is imbued also with morality, as verbal Truth, and Righteousness, action conforming with the moral order, to organize and harmonize humanity.
The correspondence between 'truth', reality, and an all-encompassing cosmic principle is not far removed from Heraclitus' conception of Logos.
ASTRONOMY PHONETICS ETYMOLOGY ORIGINS ELISHAH/El-ISHA
The name Elishah occurs only once in the Bible. He is named as a son of Javan who was the son of Japheth, who was a son of Noah (Genesis 10:4). Judean historian Flavius Josephus related the descendants of Elishah with the Halizones (Aeolians), one of the ancestral branches of the Greeks let us agree. Many have identified Elishah with Cyprus or a Cypriot of ancient times about 3500 years ago the island of Cyprus was recorded in correspondence between leaders of Egypt and Alashiya. According to the Book of Genesis (10:4) as well as the mediaeval, rabbinic Book of Jasher, Elishah is said to have been the ancestor of the "Almanim" (Mani). An older and more common tradition refers to Elishah as a settler of and/or from Greece, particularly connecting the name with Elis in the Peloponese. In the Greek Septuagint of Genesis 10, Elissa is listed among the sons of Javan the son of Japheth, as Elisha, Alam, Titias, Achzavia, and Dardania, Ridom, and Chamen, and Antioch.
I read the name Elishah as a compound, a compound made up of two elements 1+3 , or as a tetrad. The first part is the common abbreviation of Elohim, El which we know is a genus for God, "The One" The second part ISA or ASY as the 3in1, the Triad.
The geographic connection between the names Alaissia of late bronze age Cyprus which is now proved beyond resonable doubt and Elishah is obvious. Alassia the land name recorded in the original Egyptian Hierogliphic is seen above. Read from left to right it is a feather followed by the connected drum sticks on legs followed by two feathers. For the experts the phonetic expression of this concept is sounded as ASSIA. There is and always will be a debate on how the word should be or was sounded out. Ishy, AiShIa or ASY etc. The first symbol a single feather is prnounced AI, the second which looks like a union of opposing forces moving in time, the perfect symbol to express the concept of "becomming," is sounded out as an extended S, SS, or in the Semetic SH and the third and final two feathers, the double, most probably representing the diad, or plurallity is sounded, IA or YA as in the Greek. The "Y" graphic and or logos also represented the triad, said to represent the "spirit of generation" and or regeneration. It is the Accado-Semetic ONEALL. Y graphic stood for the Generative principal.
It is my considered opinion that the pictographic was an attempt to express the idea or the meaning of "existence" or "life" as in the UNION of the finite, represented by one feather and the infinate, two feathers. The pictograph "inbetween" the drumsticks with the legs express motion, change, thus the idea of TIME the GOLDEN MEAN, the concept of PRESERVATION in UNION, which in later traditions was the idea of preservation or salvation, or the giver of mercy. The Theological Dictionary and NOBS Study Bible Name List reads the word Elishah to mean "God Is Salvation." Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Elishah as God/El "The Saviour," or "Salvation" is my "God,"and the interpretation that Jerome once submitted: Dei Mei Salvatio, meaning Salvation Of My God. The majority of translators seem to acknowledge no difference between the names (Elishah) and (Elisha). The name Elishah has evolved, or changed prononciation in different locations and languages however the meaning seems to have been constant and well transmited in time.
ALASHIYA
Alashiya or Alasiya was an important entity/state during the Middle and Late Bronze Age, and it has been proved of late that it was a reference to the island of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean. The connection of Al-Ashia to Cyprus was confirmed by the scientific analysis of the clay tablets which were sent from Alashiya to other rulers. The identification of Cyprus with Alashiya was confirmed by the 2003 publication by Goren in an article published in the American Journal of Archaeology detailing the petrographic and chemical analysis of a number of the Amarna and Ugaritic letters sent from Alashiya. These examinations of the provenance of the clay used to create the tablets indicate that Syria could not be the location of Alashiya, while clay on Cyprus is a good match. However, to be more specific, this analysis showed that the clays did not originate anywhere near the site of Enkomi and that suitable clays are close to the sites of Kalavasos and the location of the present village of Alassa in Cyprus was seen as a possible cognate of Alashiya rather than the whole island.
ASHI..(aši) in the Avestan language is the word for the Zoroastrian concept of "that which is attained." As the hypostasis of "reward from god," or "capricious luck of life." Ashi is also a divinity in the Zoroastrian hierarchy of yazatas. Avestan nomencleture 'ashi' is a feminine abstract noun, deriving from the root ar-, "to allot," with a substantivizing -ta suffix, hence aši/arti "that which is granted." In the Avesta, the term implies both material and spiritual recompense. ASHI... (Asi)..."Ashi is a goddess of "Good Reward", both Gathic and Young Avestan say "She" was the daughter of Ahura Mazda and Spenta Armaiti, sister of Sraosha a refrence to human sexuality. "Those who sacrifice with libations to ASHI sacrifice with libations to Mithra." (Piras: 1996...pg 11)
ASHTAR in the Encyclopedia Biblica, page 1946. (Notes that also the Babylonian goddess Ishtar the consort of Tammuz, is often associated with the Phoenician goddess Astarte, consort of Baal.)There is a common denominator between Ashima = Ishtar and Aphrodite =Venus" that has yet to be pinpointed.
AS - in Latin and French stand for union and in Latin Aes is for copper.
AS- as in (to be) [IE *es- (to be)] Luwian Dic. IndoEuropean?
ASI- (to love) [Hittite assija- (to love)] Luwian Dic. The principal of UNION.
AS, ASI, ASY, ASHI, ASHA, ACE, ISSI, OSY, ASSY, AES all seem to suggest a union a monad a a Koinon in Greek united as in for the common good. A compound, a balanced pair, two opposing principals united in one, complimentary opposites the golden mean.
ASHI-MA
In the Hebrew Bible, Ashima is one of several deities protecting the individual cities of Samaria who are mentioned specifically by name in 2 Kings 17:30. This fits in with the with the designation given meaning "the given NAME of or formula representing the CREATION and CREATOR. As such it would also refer to ASHERAH of the Sea with Rah as the active principal "FIRE" and with a MA ending the principal is "WATER". Both designations seem to indicate a feminine principal, a Goddess in each case and both are a particularized manifestation of El or his succesor Baal.
It is I hope obvious that AISSIA is a compound word that defines the “union” of the one and the two as the Ying and Yang, the masculin and feminine united as one in time. The "ss" could be pronounced "us" in Hittite or "ish" in Hebrew or in many subtally different ways. Ponder on the ending ya or yah. We can say that the letter Y represents the generative, or regenerative triune, the common soul, the fundamental governing principal of life, Genesis, ressurection, the eternal cycle and it is pronounced Ya. I believe El-Ashi-Ya simply suggests God's union as in the Greek Koinon, Common to all equal as in love of each other. Asha signifies a Union, a collective, a workers union. Asah in Hebrew comes a stage before Bara in that it suggests a peace, as in Shabat, before the beginning of the next creation, not only of an artist but also a reference of the artistry of the phenomenal world, the universe, as in the creation and the manifestation of life itself.
The SS, is the most ancient symbol that represents the union of complimentary yet opposing powers, like the sexes. It is drawn like a spinning swastika, in ancient art it represented unity, as does a cross and many many other graphic symbols.
Finally my favorite clues for ASHI come from Turkish. ASHI translates as Graft, AZI again in Turkish refers to the Bosphorus, the connecting passage into the Black Sea. This location happens to be between the continants of Asia Minor and Europe and AZA again in Turkish refers to an open space, a passage, a breakthrough that connects two poles.
