ARMENIAN AR-MEENA, FISHES BORN IN THE IMAGE OF PISCES
Esoterically, Mesha (Aries) maintains a strong link with the central invisible Sun God which makes the sign fiery, penetrative, restless, and eager to attain the highest in every field. This impulse impels the individual to dwell in subjective realms, unexplored universal ideas, ideals not yet achieved. His preoccupation is to make those inner, subjective, unexplored ideals objective and real. The impossibility of the task often makes the individual desperate despondent and miserable.
The ancient seers considered Mesha (Aries) as masculine, fiery, a cardinal or movable sign of the zodiac. Mangala (Mars) is intimately related to it: this planet is said to be the lord of the sign. The Surya (Sun) is exalted here, implying that it is in possession of its best nature. Shani (Saturn) is the weakest planet in this sign. The root or basis of Mesha (Aries) lies in Spirit, but both its conflict and its purity arise from the paradox inherent in making spirit manifest hi a world of matter.I intend to show that the Armenian names HAYK, HAY, HAYR, ARA AND AR-MEN the first born son of Hayk the progenitor of the Armenian 'people' have their roots in ancient Sumerian philosophical and astronomical calendar of natural phenomena or vice versa, that these words or roots have native Armenian etymologies, that were loaned into Sumerian Hurro-Urartian and other Caucasian languages during the fifth, fourth and third millennium BCE.
The Meena (pronounced [miːɳa]) is a tribe found mainly in the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh regions of India.
The people of Rajasthan called the Rajasthani people or Rajasthanis are an Indian ethnic group native to Rajasthan ("the land of kingdoms"), a state in Northern India. Their language, Rajasthani, is a part of the western group of Indo-Aryan languages. Like other Indo-Aryan peoples, modern day Rajasthanis and their ancestors have inhabited Rajasthan since ancient times. The erstwhile state of Alwar, in north-eastern Rajasthan, is possibly the oldest kingdom in Rajasthan. Around 1500 BC, it formed a part of the Matsya territories of Viratnagar (present-day Bairat) encompassing Bharatpur, Dholpur, and Karauli.
Meena is also transliterated as Meenanda or Mina. The Meenas claim connection to the Matsya avatar of Vishnu, and the ancient Matsya Kingdom.
Meena's associate with Matsya avatar, one of dasavatar (incarnation) of Hindu god Vishnu. The name could also be an Tamil language origin "Meenu" (fish). Hence this is very much part of larger Indian enthino culture Hinduism. They have been worshiping trees and plants for centuries as their totem trees. It includes witchcraft and black magic. This religion has the Dharadi tradition, which is love to various forms of nature. The Meenas have been the guardians of the forest. On the basis of the customs of the ancestors, the practice of worshiping the Dharadi trees within Meena ethnic religion is going on at the time of marriage.
The ancient seers gave to this sign not only the name Meena (Pisces), which means fish, but also Antyaya, which means the end, and Yasha, which means glory. All these are veiled references to the stage of achievement where the struggle is over and one has reached the end. During the Piscean process there is constant progress. At the end, the acme of achievement is realized. This is the stage beyond which there is nothing further to achieve. It is the end, the cessation of all efforts. The weary traveler goes to bed to enjoy a peaceful sleep.
MN: The symbol for Meena (Pisces) is two fish, placed in such a way as to represent the positive and negative discharges of electric vibration leading to complete assimilation of one into another. At this stage, there is no movement, no further excitement; tranquility reigns supreme within the individual. Meena (Pisces) is the cessation of all worldly efforts, the final merging of the individual into the universal. It bestows much peace and comfort, making the fish a symbol of auspicious benediction and fertility suggesting that all ambitions have been satisfied.
Esoterically, Meena (Pisces) represents the impulse under which duality ceases and only life in its fullness remains. There is no conflict, no contradiction, no more Trishna or lust for life. The cycle of necessity which causes rebirth has ended, and all karmas have been annihilated. The individual has attained Nirvana, his ultimate equilibrium.
It would be deceptive to consider this a sign of death, the end of all. Instead Meena (Pisces) represents the preservation of the essential seed which can blossom when the next cycle of evolution begins. In Meena (Pisces), there is a great deal of meditation and reflection, contemplating past experiences so that life's journey can begin again in full possession of those seeds of experience. Wherever the Piscean impact falls, such reflection will be vitally important. Meena (Pisces) is feminine, watery and common. From these characteristics, it is evident that this sign is related to the preservation principle. The primary function of the female is to procreate, to nourish the seed till the appropriate time for a new birth arrives; the feminine is receptive and protective. That is also the quality of water, which sustains and preserves life. As a common sign, Pisces can become movable or fixed. Guru (Jupiter) owns the sign, which again emphasizes the same characteristics. Shukra (Venus) is exalted here and Buddha (Mercury) is debilitated. Sensitivity and intuitive openness are developed here. Intellectualization, analysis, reason and logic will not be very successful at this stage. Shukra's surrender and Guru's spirituality are helpful, but Buddha's connection with the material world must necessarily bring some kind of disappointment: spirituality brings only frustration when the ego is attached to material impediments.

An Astronomical or Astrological or Heavenly sign is a 'sign of assent' (հաւանութեան նշան)
The word ARMENIAN is made up of two roots, the first 'Ar' and the second Manu/Meni and I posit that the Armenian syllable, root phoneme Ar, represents radiation and can be recognised in PIE words like Ram, Rama, Mars of Astrological Constellation Aries and the variously spelt abjad MN (mani, manu) which is the second part of the name ArMenian refers to the fish avatar of Manu, or as the Fishes of Astrological constellation Pisces which were established later.
*Ar- also arə-, is a Proto-Indo-European root meaning "to fit together . "It is said that prefix Ar-forms all or part of the following words aristarchy; aristo-; aristocracy; arm (n.1) "upper limb of the body;" arm (n.2) "weapon;" armada; armadillo; armament; armature; armilla; armistice; armoire; armor; armory; army; art (n.) ARIES AND PISCES
Aries besides animation, radiation, emanation, origination, emergence, emission, illumination, invigoration and recreation represents the phenomenon of light of the sun daily and annually. The second root word Pisces is from the root Mena which is a derivative of the word Meena, (the Sanskrit name for Pisces). This refers to the saved righteous man, the mind born, the man-fish, the ribbon or chord that is represented by the astrological sign of Pisces. Besides the Mind, Manu in (Sanskrit: मनु) is a term found now with various meanings in Hinduism. In early texts, it refers to the archetypal man, or to the first man (progenitor of humanity). The Sanskrit term for 'human', मानव (IAST: mānava) means 'of Manu' or 'children of Manu'.
Having stated the above, the Armenian root Ar, Ara, or the origin of the syllable 'AR' or the PIE root 'Ar' has still to be conclusively understood and its meaning agreed upon by the scientific, academic community. So, again for what it is worth I posit that PIE root phoneme 'Ar' expresses the phenomenon of the'Sun Rise' 'Day Breaking through', 'the first direct light of the sun,' what comes after Dawn and Twilight. This phenomenon of the Sun breaking through is also observed annually on the 21st of March, the point named the Vernal Equinox marking anciently the beginning of spring, when the Sun dominates and the days start getting longer than the nights. I believe that the concept that gives meaning in Armenian to the root phoneme Ar is the power of light and heat of the Sun, the Creative power of the light and heat of the SUN. To make headway in Armenian is առաջանալ 'Arachanal.'
The PIE root phoneme Ar takes its meaning from the etiological phenomenon the power of the rising and progressing Sun seen as the cause of creation. It can be said that Ar represented the 'radiation' from the Sun as the first cause in recreation.
*Ar- also arə-, is a Proto-Indo-European root meaning "to fit together . "It is said that prefix Ar-forms all or part of the following words aristarchy; aristo-; aristocracy; arm (n.1) "upper limb of the body;" arm (n.2) "weapon;" armada; armadillo; armament; armature; armilla; armistice; armoire; armor; armory; army; art (n.) Ar like the English verb 'take' is an irregular verb used in direct speech which defines the action of giving by stating 'take'. Ar is the base form (or root) of a verb is the form listed in the dictionary. It is the version of the verb without any endings (endings such as -s, -ing, and ed). The base form is the same as the infinitive (e.g., to walk, to paint, to think) but without the 'to'.
Ar in Proto PIE
AR is the prefix of the Sanskrit word Arya which is a surname and a masculine (आर्य ārya) and feminine (आर्या āryā). It is a Hindu given name, signifying "honorable" it is probable that the Ar is the prefix of the noun Aryan, which means 'Nobel'. The Aryan, was probably the same as the Armenian name for the ram Aru, the Aruian.
Ar is a root prefix in Armenian of the word 'Arev' the Sun, meaning light, energy, 'radiation' the first to the last of the direct power of the light of the Sun' responsible for the animation of our earth, our planet and the visible cause of the creation on earth of nature.
The word solar (/ˈsoʊlər/), from Latin sol – ar, not suggesting that the -ar suffix on solar is the same PIE root attached to Sol. Solar is found in terms such as solar day, solar eclipse and Solar System (but it is a fact that occasionally we revert to Sol, like Sol-system and we do drop the Ar).
The Sun has been an object of veneration in many cultures throughout human history. Humanity's most fundamental understanding of the Sun is as the luminous radiating disk in the sky, whose presence above the horizon causes day and whose absence causes night. The symbol of light was a pagan device adopted by Christians, and perhaps it is the most important idea that did not come from Jewish traditions.
For the Armenians as for the pagans, the Sun was a source of life, giving warmth and illumination to mankind. It was the center of a popular cult among Romans, who would stand at dawn and wait to catch the first rays of sunshine as they prayed. The celebration of the winter solstice (which influenced Christmas) was part of the Roman cult of the unconquered Sun (Sol Invictus). Not only Christian churches were built with an orientation so that the congregation faced toward the sunrise in the East.
Today we measure the solar constant as the amount of power that the Sun deposits per unit area that is directly exposed to sunlight. We say the Sun emits light across the visible spectrum, so its color is white. So let us say that the Armenian root Ar emits the light energy and life from the sun. ETYMOLOGY OF ARMENIAN AR-MENA IS AITOLOGICAL
MEENA is Sanskrit is the name for the Constellation Pisces.
Ar-mina and Ar-maniya which first appear in the Old Persian cuneiform inscription of Darius I (the Great) at Behistun (present-day Bisitun, Iran) as Armina and Armaniya iare variations, early designation, for Armenia and Armenian, which are the names by which the people who call themselves 'Hai' are known worldwide.
The Armenians more generically were/are referred to obviously knowingly, by neighbors and occupiers as the people of the 'Mountain of light,' of Ararat.
This name ARMENI in abjad is written 'rmn,' in syllabic Ar or Ra-Ma-Ni or Ar-Ma-Nu or Ar-Ma-Ne, the differing vowels u/e/ or i, is not important when you know the root is Mena a reference to Pisces. For the name when spelled out without prejudice it is RMN, whether ARMEN or RAMAN, it depended on the dialect. To be clear RMN is the abjad which is also render as written as RIMMON, again a reference to the sacred Armenian Pomegranate, or in reference to the one and only first Levant God of thunder and lightning HADDAD-RAMMON, specifically of western and north western Mesopotamia.
In early texts, when I separate MN, from RMN, I came upon the larger than life 'Manu' to the archetypal man, or to the first man, or the first survivor of the first flood. Notice again like the first light that signifies the Phoneme 'AR' the MN of Manu also signifies the word 'first' and the one who saved humanity from the dark by bringing forward the light, withe the help of a fish, the archetype that came up from the waters of 'chaos' like Meena/Pisces.

Ara the First BREAK OF LIGHT THE SON of HAYG/DAWN, the Aryan PROGENITOR, the creator of the Ar-men-ian.
Manu (Sanskrit: मनु) is the term found today with various meanings in Hinduism, like Noah he is said to be a (progenitor of humanity). Hayg in this tradition, can be said to be the progenitor of the Armenians. A father figure, simply a nobal man in the Aryan tradition.
EDIT, The Sanskrit term for 'human', मानव (IAST: mānava) also means 'of Manu' or 'children of Manu'. Hayg, the progenitor of the Hay was obviously in tune with the Vedic concept of Manu, of the phenomena of energy/light. The enlightened one of the good inner light, brought forth from darkness/evil by the first progenitor of humanity, the one who salvaged and distributed the knowledge contained within the Vedangas for posterity.
ASTRONOMY ASTROLOGY PROTO ARMENIAN
Back on location in Sumer (middle of the third millennium) it seems there was no organized set of gods, so no formal religion, each city-state had its own patrons, temples priestesses and priest-kings. The Sumerians were probably the first to write down their observations of astronomical and planetary phenomena, their ideas ad beliefs, which we know were the inspiration for much of later Mesopotamian mythology, religion, and astrology.
Before we search the sky for Hayg and Ara, let us start with the pantheon of Armenian gods, initially worshipped by Proto-Armenians, who it seems inherited their essential elements from the religious beliefs and mythologies of the Proto-Indo-Europeans and peoples of the Armenian Highlands. Historians distinguish a significant body of Indo-European language words which were used in Armenian pagan rites. The oldest cults are believed to have worshipped a 'creator'called Ar (or possibly Ara), embodied as the sun (Arev or Areg); it is a fact that the ancient Armenians called themselves "children of the sun". Also among the most ancient types of Indo-European-derived worship are their cults of eagles and lions, and of the bull of the sky, the cause of relief rainfall and lightning and thunder.
The Sumerian language like Armenian is generally regarded as a language isolate in linguistics because it belongs to no known language family; Akkadian, by contrast belongs to the Afro-Asiatic languages. There have been many failed attempts to connect Sumerian to other language groups. It is an agglutinative language; in other words, morphemes ("units of meaning") are added together to create words, unlike analytic languages where morphemes are purely added together to create sentences.
Understanding Sumerian texts today can be problematic even for experts. Most difficult are the earliest texts, which in many cases don't give the full grammatical structure of the language.

The roots of the reconstructed Proto-Indo-European language (PIE) are basic parts of words that carry a lexical meaning, so-called morphemes. PIE roots usually have verbal meaning like "to eat" or "to run". Roots never occur alone in the language. Complete inflected verbs, but also nouns and adjectives are formed by adding further morphemes to a root and by changing the root's vowel in a process called ablaut.
It is written in Moses of Chorene's account, that Hayk son of Torgom had a son named Armanak while he was still living in Babylon. After the arrogant Titanid Bel made himself a despotic king over all, Hayk emigrated without saying googbye to the region near Mount Ararat. Hayk relocated near Mount Ararat with an extended household of at least 300 and settled there, founding a village he named Haykashen. Hayk Moses wrote was a handsome, friendly man, with curly hair, sparkling eyes, and strong arms. He was a man of giant stature, a mighty archer and fearless warrior. Hayk and his people, from the time of their forefathers Noah and Japheth, had migrated south toward the warmer lands near Babylon. In that land there came to rule a wicked giant, Bel. Bel tried to impose his tyranny upon Hayk's wife and extended family, his 'people.' But proud Hayk refused to submit to Bel. As soon as his son Aramaniak was born, Hayk led his people back northward into the land of Ararad. It was at the foot of the mountain he built a fort, a village and gave it his name, he called it Haykashen.
THE ROOT OF THE NAME HAY AND HAYG
The following is an extract from Wikipedia to give the reader as idea of the state of knowledge or consensus on the subject of the origin, root, etymology of the name Hayk. It is said that the name of the Armenian patriarch, Հայկ, Hayk, is not exactly homophonous with the name for "Armenia". Hayk’ it is said is the nominative plural in Classical Armenian of հայ (hay), the Armenian term for "Armenian." Some claim that the etymology of Hayk' (Հայք) from Hayk (Հայկ) is impossible and that the origin of the term Hay ("Armenian") is not verifiable. Nevertheless, Hayk and Haig are usually connected to hay (հայ) and hayer (հայեր, the nominative plural in Modern Armenian), the self-designation of the Armenians.
Most go along with the suggestion that Hayk/Hayg derives from the Indo-European word *poti- ‘master, lord, master of the house, husband’ yes that is what Hayg projects to all Armenians but I cant see how that can be said to be the root meaning of the name. Some other sources claim that Hayk is derived from the Urartian deity Ḫaldi, ahain there is no line of logic that can prove that connection in philology or etymology.
NATURAL PHENOMENA
A phenomenon is a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question.
In Sanskrit RA is the acoustic root of fire. RA also connotes with light or spiritual light. Sanskrit words contain the acoustic root RA and their meaning is strongly dependent on this acoustic root and the concept of light.

H PISCES
Long ago, before the days of art or legend, Eros and Aphrodite stood for a moment on the bank of the river Euphrates, Seeking refuge from the pursuing Typhon, they plunged into the swirling waters and became two fishes. Their celestial destination is suggested, for the Euphrates was seen as a sacred channel of the heavenly waters surrounding the earth.
Tiamat, the tumultuous sea, the chaotic mother of space and the primordial waters, was killed by the godly hero Marduk. He destroyed the monsters she had spawned and wrested order out of chaos. He cleaved her body "like a fish in two parts" and from one half fashioned the heavens, from the other half the earth. He organized the world and the fish above became reflected in the fish below. The stars we call Pisces contain in their design the secrets of these ancient allegories, constituting the heavenly record of an arcane division and an implicit unity. The dual fish 'Iχθύς and 'Iχθύες are identical to one another but are each depicted as facing away from the other. The left fish can be seen as symbolic of the process of involution, or the beginning of a new cycle, while the right fish signifies evolution, the progression out of a cycle.
The actual constellation has a forked appearance and contains no bright stars. The two fish appear to be tied together with a cord. The Arabs called these stars Al Risha, or the 'cord' which unites the fishes, while the Akkadian name for Pisces was Dur-Ki, the 'palace of the cord.' It is suggested by some that this represents the binding afresh of the soul to the wheel of samsara or the zodiac. Pisces, as the twelfth sign, does mark the end of the old cycle and the beginning of the new, and the month when the sun was in its zone was called Se-Kistl, the 'sowing of the seed.'
In Euphratean symbolism the original glyph for Pisces described only one fish which represented the sun hidden in the waters before its rising. This is reminiscent of Surya, who in Vedic tradition was 'drawn by the gods' from the ocean and placed apart in his celestial ark. The identification of the fish with the sun can only be understood in terms of the soul rising from the waters of chaotic matter in the form of that fish which the Chaldeans called 'The Intelligent One,' Ea, the father of Marduk, the purveyor of Soul upon the Waters. The chaos related to Pisces has to do with the Mother Sea linked with the destruction and dissolution of form wrought by the symbolical and actual deluges that mark the end of cycles. The Great Teachers who pass among men for a short rime on earth personify the death of the personality and have taken on form only for the sake of others. It is deeply significant that such beings often suffer failure, betrayal and even violent death. The soul is willingly 'crucified' on the cross of matter in order that men may catch a glimpse of that which they truly are.
In several traditions the earth is supported by a huge fish. According to the Altaic people, his head is toward the north, and when it bends down there are floods in the northern hemisphere. The cord which tilts the head is believed to be held by the Bodhisattva Manjusri. This symbolic concept describes the cycles of the tilting of the earth's axis. The sinking of Atlantis was brought on by such a shift, and it was the Matsya Avatar who enacted the key role of Preserver in that mighty deluge.
In the Mahabharata the story is told of Vaivasvata who sat in meditation by the side of a river. As he reposed, a fish appeared and begged his protection from another larger fish. Vaivasvata put the fish into a jar which it quickly outgrew. It continued to increase until finally it had to be placed in a great ocean, whereupon it told Vaivasvata of the impending flood. The fish was Matsya, the Avatar of Vishnu, and it ordered an ark built to carry Manu and the Seven Rishis or races of men. The ark bearing the seed of life was guided by Matsya to Mount Meru, the birthplace of the new race.
Pisces symbolizes a force which is intimately bound up with emotion and feeling, and all goodness and pleasure in this watery sign is brought on through their expansiveness. This force reflects the all-pervasive nature of Akasa and would seek to discover no limits to its expression.
The prime attribute of Akasa is sound symbolized in speech, which is beautifully manifested in the teaching abilities of Great Spiritual Reformers. Akasa is also the indispensable agent of every magical performance. It stirs up the power lying latent in Brahma in much the same way as the words of an Adept-Teacher stir the hearts of men. The higher feelings possible in Pisces enable an activation of the higher sheaths of the soul and the development of a condition where feelings derived from the senses are synthesized totally into one powerful radiating force. This is achieved through the fusion of the five senses into one, which takes place when the higher astral sheaths are activated by a unifying force on a higher level of evolution.
One of the most important steps in controlling emotion involves the total mastery of the mirrored Akashic attribute of speech. In preparation for the Great Renunciation made by the 'Fishers of Men/ endless self-denials, especially in the realm of speech, must be made.
'The Field of Ea' has been traversed and man has risen to the calm Akashic regions of ideal spiritual life where there labour, the Rishis, Munis, Saints and Prophets. He may rest now among the Immortals or rise from the Waters like Oannes to move among those who rejoice and weep from life to life, chained to the wheel of karmic action.Basically, a muni is somewhat like a philosopher who thinks about how and why things are the way they are. A rishi is someone who is generally considered to be on a higher plane of learning and understanding due to their hundreds of years of tapas or meditation. The Vedas are reputed to sources of great knowledge.
The poetry of George Russell:
When the breath of twilight blows to flame the misty skies,
All its vaporous sapphire, violet glow, and silver gleam
With their magic flood me through the gateways of the eyes;
I am one with the twilight's dream.
At about the (middle of the third millennium) it seems there was no organized set of gods in Sumer. Each city-state had its own patrons, temples, and priest-kings.
The Sumerians were probably the first to write down their beliefs, which were the inspiration for much of later Mesopotamian astronomy and astrology. As for language, we know that during the third millennium BC, the influence of early Sumerian on Armenian as well as all its neighbours is evident, especially from phonetic borrowings (root phonemes with meaning) to lexical borrowing. Akkadian gradually replaced Sumerian as a spoken language somewhere around the turn of the 3rd millennium BC, but Sumerian continued to be used as a sacred, ceremonial, literary and scientific language in the civilized world especially in Babylonia and Assyria until the 1st century AD. Sumerian astrology tablets make up the first historical record of astrology. ... They are literally the oldest astrological documents. They named many of the constellations and defined the nature of numerous bodies in the solar system. The Sumerians taught the Babylonians astrology. There is enough evidence to state that astrology of some form appeared in the Sumerian period in the 3rd millennium BC, but the isolated references to ancient celestial omens dated to this period are not considered sufficient evidence to demonstrate an integrated theory of astrology. The calendar and astrology were very interconnected. When creating the calendar for the next month or year, it was important to keep in mind where important festivals and other religious activities would fall.
H.P. Blavatsky wrote that the constellation of Pisces "shines as a symbol of all the past, present and future Spiritual Saviours who dispense light and dispel mental darkness." The sign of 'Iχθύς the Fish does not merely relate to Christ but to all world reformers. It is the 'Sign of Jonas,' the sign from heaven of the sun reborn in Pisces, the rising from the waters of Cannes, Ea, and of Quetzalcoatl, who in his feathered scales represented the man-dragon, the serpent of the deep risen to enlighten the world. It is this rebirth out of the waters that lies behind the universal traditions which describe the coming of gods out of the Dark waters. As in the sign of Makara, the sacred letter 'M' signifies the presence of the Great Sacrifice in the world. The Fish Avatar of Vishnu was called Matsya, while the word Messiah itself suggests the nature of the work of great teachers symbolized by Meena, the Sanskrit name for Pisces. The Babylonians called the phase from Capricorn to Pisces 'the Field of Ea,' the man-fish, and believed that it was in these signs that man was instructed in the wisdom which would truly make him human. From the legendary boy on the dolphin to Cannes who rose from the Persian Gulf, the symbol of the man-fish moves in and through the signs of Makara, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Cannes was believed to have made four appearances at intervals of over thirty thousand years, while Quetzalcoatl was said by the Aztecs to have gone beneath the waters to re-emerge at a future time of man's development. These 'Scaly Ones' are Initiated Adepts. They are healers, givers of health, spiritual and physical, and of enlightenment. Their influence upon mankind in general can be critically potent from January to April, while those individuals born in 'the Field of Ea' have a concentrated opportunity to recognize and manifest the process of accelerated spiritualization that commenced with Capricorn and culminates with Pisces. Men who long to be born again only imitate this immensely powerful symbolism when they submerge themselves in the rite of baptism." So it was that the early Christians called themselves pisciculi or 'little fishes' and talked of "so many fishes bred in the water, and saved by one great fish." How great was the privilege accorded Simon and Andrew when Christ said unto them, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."
HAYG
The story, the 'exodus' of the progenitor of the Armenians Hayg and his progeny the Hay is placed to on or about the middle of the third millennium both by Movses Khorenatsi (Moses of Chorene) and also according to the Greek Sextus Julius Africanus.
Hayk is the "head of family" or patriarch of the Armenian 'family', He is the legendary patriarch and founder of the Armenian nation until today.
Moses of Chorene gave Hayk's genealogy as Japheth, Gomer and Tiras, Torgom. Hayk's descendants are given as Amasya, Ara, Aram, Aramais, Armanak, Gegham, and Harma. Hayk was also said to be the founder of the Haykazuni Dynasty. According to Juansher, Hayk "was prince of the seven brothers and stood in service to the giant Nimrod (Nebrovt') who first ruled the entire world as king."
Aram (Armenian: Արամ pronounced [ɑˈɾɑm], Aramaic: אַרָם) is an Armenian patriarch in the History of Armenia, and a popular masculine name in Aramaic and Armenian. It appears in Hebrew, Aramaic as Aram, son of Shem and in cuneiform as Arame of Urartu.
My starting point is with the suggestion that Hayk could be an aitiological founding figure, like e.g. Asshur for the Assyrians. Yes we can agree that Hayg could be an aitiological founding figure but that still does not tell us what the root meaning of the name is. In other words Hayg gave his name to Hayastan but what is the meaning at root, what caused Hayg to adopt it and launch it with confidence into posterity. Where is the first light?
A name must have a meaning at root, a cause if you like and one must find that before one can understand the named, or the collective, the Hay, the Armenians, a little better than one does at present.
Forgive the pun but the Armenian has been around from the first light of Dawn of cotemporary civilization and the effect Hayg the Aitiological Hayg has had on the posterity of those who are proud to be Armenian has not been too comfortable, for want of a better adjective.
The word aitiology I intentionally spell in Greek could be related to the name 'hAIg' its strict meaning is that it is a study of a branch of knowledge concerned with causes specifically.
I will attempt to show that the origin of the Greek root AI of the Greek word Aitiology comes from the word Ay of the Sumerian phoneme which has the meaning DAWN. To go further I posit that the Sumerian word for DAWN, AYA, is the root of both the word HAYG and the word AITIOLOGY, in other words the same root/first cause and that is the DAWN.
To put Aitiology asside I will simply give its dictionary meaning and etymology as it stands today. Etiology (pronounced /iːtiˈɒlədʒi/; alternatively: aetiology or ætiology) is the study of causation or origination. The word is derived from the Greek αἰτιολογία (aitiología) "giving a reason for" (αἰτία, aitía, "cause"; and -λογία, -logía). More completely, etiology is the study of the causes, origins, or reasons behind the way that things are.
I will show, I hope beyond doubt that the root phoneme that gives meaning to the name HAIG is the Dawn and also that the root phoneme for aitiology is AY, AYA the Sumerian rendering for Dawn. The starting point is to agree that the dawn is the first cause daily of our 'life' and thus a great candidate for a metaphor as a root with meaning that has the potential for creating other words.
To elaborate further on the meaning of aitiology for I found difficult to understand when it came to proper loaded names like Hayg, is the fact that an etiological myth, or origin myth, is a myth intended to explain the origins of cult practices, natural phenomena and proper names. For example, the name Delphi and its associated deity, Apollon Delphinios, are explained in the Homeric Hymn which tells of how Apollo, in the shape of a dolphin (delphis), propelled Cretans over the seas to make them his priests. While Delphi is actually related to the word delphus ("womb"), many etiological myths are similarly based on folk etymology

I agreed with the line of thought that the name Haig has an aitiological root and so I thought it is important to understand fully the meaning of Etiology alternatively, aetiology or ætiology, as it is defined (the study of causation or origination). But when I got into the etymology of aitiology to find the root of the word or from where it had derived, I ended up with the same problem, for knowing that it derived from the Greek αἰτιολογία (aitiología) "giving a reason for" (αἰτία, aitía, "cause"; and -λογία, -logía), I still did not have the root of the word aitia. Square one, which is where more often than not I find myself when I go to the etymological dictionary.

In Akkadian Aya (also called A-a or Aja is “dawn” a mother goddess, consort of the sun god, a goddess of beauty, fertility, and sexual love, possibly because light was seen as inherently beautiful, or because of the role of dawn in indicating/predicting the coming weather, the quantity of water in the atmosphere before the rising of the sun, the dawn and sun’s role was in promoting fertility in agricultural.

The Dawn Goddess was associated with weaving, a behaviour sometimes used as a metaphor for the generative properties of sunlight.
In the Rig Veda, She was called Ushas, derived from the word uṣá which means “dawn”, again a Vedic goddess of dawn in Hinduism, She is “The ancient goddess, born again and again, dressed in the same colors, reminder to mortals of age and the shortness of a life-span, as the cunning gambler that carries off all the stakes. In Greek Mythology Eos the Dawn famously asks Zeus for Tithonus to maintain his life but not his youth, reducing him to a cricket.
Ushas, repeatedly appears in the Rigvedic hymns where she is “consistently identified with dawn, revealing herself with the daily coming of light to the world, driving away oppressive darkness, chasing away evil demons, rousing all life, setting all things in motion, sending everyone off to do their duties”.
Ushas is portrayed as a beautifully adorned young woman riding in a golden chariot or a hundred chariots, drawn by golden red horses or cows, on her path across the sky, making way for the Vedic sun god Surya. Some of the most beautiful hymns in the Vedas are dedicated to her. Her sister is Ratri, or the night.

They spin threads of life, cut marks in the pole figures and measure people’s destinies, which shows the fate of all human beings and gods. Norns are always present when a child is born and decide its fate. The three Norns represent the past (Urðr), future (Skuld) and present (Verðandi). Urðr is commonly written as Urd or Urth. In some English translations, her name is glossed with the Old English form of urðr; Wyrd.
In Norse mythology, the goddess Frigg spins clouds from her bejewelled distaff in the Norse constellation known as Frigg’s Spinning Wheel (Friggerock, also known as Orion’s belt). Due to significant thematic overlap, scholars have proposed a connection to the goddess Freyja. The English weekday name Friday (etymologically Old English “Frīgedæg”) bears her name.

Back in Sumer Dawn was described as the life of all living creatures, the impeller of action and breath, the foe of chaos and confusion, the auspicious cause, the arouser of cosmic and moral order called the Ṛta in Hinduism. In the Vedic religion, Ṛta stood for (“ rule, truth, order.”) Rta is the principle of natural order which regulates and coordinates the operation of the universe and everything within it. The rhythm and rhyme of the cycles within cycles. In the hymns of the Vedas, Ṛta is also described as that which is ultimately responsible for the proper functioning of the natural, moral and sacrificial orders.
Aya (goddess) Goddess of light and wife of Utu/Šamaš, who was worshipped in the cities of Sippar and Larsa. Aya functions primarily as a goddess of light and as the wife of the sun god Šamaš. Aya's role as Šamaš's wife is exemplified by her presentation in the Standard Babylonian version of the Epic of Gilgameš, where Aya is called "the great bride" (Tablet III,
In Ugarit, Aya was equated with a deity who shared the same name as the goddess's Akkadian name, Aya, is found in personal names as early as the Pre-Sargonic period (before c.2400 BCE).
Ar goes before a demonstrative pronoun and it means 'take' when one is giving, this that or the other or 'something' to another.
առեւտուր is a noun at root it suggests interaction, 'give and take' as in trade, trading, as in business but more importantly for me, it is the first thing you teach a child, to give and take, in love it is give and take and in play it is the same, the firsrt rule between two. me and you.
The word broken down is Ar/առ, which is used when one offers something to another եւ/yev which means 'and' and the word dour/տուր, which means give. It seems in English both give and take are delexical verbs which are common verbs such as “have”, “take”, “make” or “give” which when used with particular nouns have very little meaning of their own. In these delexical structures most of the meaning is found in the noun, not in the verb.
An ontological argument is a philosophical argument, made from an ontological basis, that is advanced in support of the existence of God. Such arguments tend to refer to the state of being or existing. More specifically, ontological arguments are commonly conceived a priori in regard to the organization of the universe, whereby, if such organizational structure is true, God must exist.Relationships (also known as relations) between objects in an ontology specify how objects are related to other. Typically a relation is of a particular type (or class) that specifies in what sense the object is related to the other object in the ontology. I view the ontology of things as a set of properties bound together by a particular relation. So in my 'ontological' sense, when dealing with a subject and object in a relation, like in Armenian 'giveandtake' as in the Armenian առեւտուր, I see being as a permanent interaction between sect. One could say an interaction between me with 'god' or me and any living creature or me and RTA (the law of the universe) or if you like ones own conscience. So the verbs give and take are is 'being', the copula or verb is 'give and take'. For me give and take, take on a whole new meaning. Cause and effect come into play, where give and take come to be the one and the same thing. Another way of putting it, is if YHWH says Ar do I take what is given and do I give all of my 'self.' God is the Giver and Taker of All Life (Gen 9; Ex 20; Psalm 139)
Thus my question now is whether Ar is a 'given' from RTA or Hayg was a great otologist from Sumeria who gave us Ar.
Ontology for me is the thinking that focuses on being in all its 'interconnected' senses. My focus here is on the (quasi-active and the quasi-granting) 'being' that "gives" all beings their particular and singular modes of being which highlights the 'ontological' aspects of all things.
Dawn's epithet “daughter of heaven” remains in nearly all Indo-European mythologies.
In the past, when many physical phenomena were not as well understood or when histories were not recorded, myths often arose to provide etiologies. Thus, an etiological myth, or origin myth, is a myth that has arisen, been told over time or written to explain the origins of various social or natural phenomena. For example, Virgil's Aeneid is a national myth written to explain and glorify the origins of the Roman Empire. In theology, many religions have creation myths explaining the origins of the world or its relationship to believers.
That said as yet we don't seem to have found a toponymical connection that we can agree on, (Armenian historiography of the Soviet era connected Hayk with Hayasa, mentioned in Hittite inscriptions) or a Theological or Mythical cause or origination with the name Hayg we can trace, there seems to be no memory as to the a possible root of a physical phenomenon that can decipher the name. So unless it was a made up word, which is highly unlikely, we need to continue the search for an enigma is something I for one find difficult to live with.
Armenians started as nature worshippers, later shifting to national gods heavily influenced by both the Hellenic system as well as the Parthian Zorastrianism, without fully becoming one or the other. At this point, there is a complete loss or lack of any ancient creation story, cosmology, shamanism, mysthicism, and witchcraft.
MITRA, MITHRA is Zoroastrian Divinity of Covenant, LIGHT and Oath. The Armenian Mihr/Mehr derive from Mitra. In Zoroastrianism Mitra is a member of a trinity of ahuras, protectors of 'arta' RTA, 'TRUTH' or (that which is) 'RIGHT'. If we take Mihr of the Armenians which is cognate with the Iranian Mithra. We find Mithra like Mihr brings forth the LIGHT of DAWN. This word dawn is relevant to my thesis. Mihr in Armenia historically, despite his high place in the pantheon, was eclipsed by Vahagn who represented the fire, the flame, the heat, the passion of the sun not the LIGHT. Mihr's worship if there was such a thing appears to have been supplementary to Vahagn's. Little is known about Mihr aside from similarities to the Iranian Mithra and likewise there is an absence of the Mithraic mysteries. Mihr was identified with Hephaestus (father of the Kabiri) by Movses Khorenatsi and later authors. Most interesting observation is 'Omanos', (O-Manos) this was the Armenian form of the Zoroastrian Vohu Manah. Together with the Vedic common noun mitra, the Avestan common noun mitra derives from proto-Indo-Iranian *Mitram, from the root *mi- 'to bind' with the 'tool suffix'-tra 'causing to'. Thus etymologically mitra means 'that which causes to bind together'. This is also preserved in the Avestan word for ' Covenant, Contract, Oath'.
Aramaic gives us insight to the meaning of the word Hayya and Haya and Hay and Hayg. In Manchaeism the name of Mitra that was used by the Persian speakers was 'Mihr-Yazd' and this name was used for two different angles. The first, Mihr-yazd was the one that is most relevant to my thesis for it is translated as the 'Living Spirit'. In Aramaic it was 'RUHA HAYYA' a savior- figure. Ruha Hayya is a Saviour figure who rescues the 'first man' from the demons DARKNESS into which he had plunged. The second angle known as Mihr among the Parthians, was the 'Messenger' again a savior figure more concerned with the setting up of the structures to liberate the LIGHT lost when the first man had been defeated.
Vohu Manah is a compound of the words vohu "good" and manah "mind, thought, purpose", cognate with the Vedic words vásu and mánas and Armenian Omanos, both with the same meaning. Both of these derive from Proto-Indo-Iranian *h₁wésus meaning (Good, excellent.).and *mánas, in turn from Proto-Indo-European *h₁wésus and *ménos. Like Vohu Manah in the Avestan language is said to be a Zoroastrian concept, generally translated as "Good Purpose", "Good Mind", or "Good Thought", referring to the good state of mind that enables an individual to accomplish their duties. Live their life in an upright manner.
After the establishment of Iranian dominance in Armenia in the 1st millennium BCE, Zoroastrianism had a major influence on Armenian religion. Or it can be that the traditional Armenian beliefs had a major influence on Zoroaster. Until the late Parthian period, the Armenian lands adhered to a syncretic form of Mazdaism, which was able to mix Iranian religious concepts with traditional Armenian beliefs. For example, the supreme god of the Armenian pantheon, 'Vanatur,' which translates to (Gate of Van) was later replaced by Aramazd (the Parthian form of Ahura Mazda).
The Armenian version of Aramazd has preserved many native Armenian aspects. Similarly, the traditional Armenian goddess of fertility, Nar, was replaced by Anahit, which is a derivative from Persian Anahita, although the Armenian goddess was entirely distinct from her Iranian counterpart. So the subject of who came first is still an open subject for study.
The Armenian paganism and mythology are inter-mixed with Urartian ones, gradually under duress incorporating Mesopotamian, Iranian and Greek ideas and deities.
NATURAL PHENOMENA

With their magic flood me through the gateways of the eyes;
I am one with the twilight's dream.
